Help Rennovate Hawkes Transitional Residence!
It is with great pleasure that we announce Hawkes Residence will be getting a charitable makeover in May and June of this year. Interior designer Vanessa De Vargas and interior design writer and editor Vanessa Kogevinas came to us with the idea to have a select group of some of Los Angeles's top interior designers donate their time to fully redecorating a room each to an extraordinary level of functionality with an outstanding aesthetic quality.

It was a wonderful surprise and a project that we are excited and grateful to be embarking on. The designers as a group have offered to donate their time, materials, securing vendors to do the work and garnering donations for all the product necessary to redo a room; everything from beds to sheets to lighting to drapes to accessories.

This is where you can participate and give to the cause. The more people know about the project and are contributing, the better the rooms will turn out for the special women that we house. We call upon you to get in touch with us with anything that you may have to offer. Below is a list of the items we are seeking:

Desks
Dressers/Chest of Drawers
Headboards or bed frames
Desk chairs
Bed side table or tables lamps
Sheet sets to include a blanket or duvet (twin size)
Duvet insert (new or gently used)
Sleeping pillows (new)
Decorative pillows and inserts
Drapes and hardware
Hooks like coat racks
Shelving
Wall Decals
Frames (artwork or extra molding)
Artwork or wall art
Large coffee table books or vintage books
Wallpaper rolls (or even small remnants that can be framed)

We will also be making a push to have local and national media outlets cover the project. If you have any leads in this area--a website, a blog, a contact at a newspaper, a contact at a news station--please feel free to let us know.
