Silvia Gutierrez joined Good Shepherd Center in 2009 with 10 years of experience in the social services field. As the Associate Director, she oversees all programs, which include case management for all residents, the emergency shelter, community outreach, two transitional housing programs, a job placement program, and an onsite culinary arts training program. Her fresh perspective and leadership skills help strengthen our core services of shelter, case management and job development.
Prior to joining Good Shepherd Center, Silvia served as the Area Director for PATH (People Assisting The Homeless). At PATH, she oversaw the Regional Homeless Center of Los Angeles and the PATH Mall, a “one-stop” center that offers comprehensive services for the homeless. In addition to her work at PATH, Silvia’s experience includes working with victims of domestic violence, burn survivors and homeless men, women and families. Silvia holds a B.S. in Social Work, and has managed homeless programs throughout Southern California.
