Living at Good Shepherd Center is an experience designed to empower you to achieve your goals. Our residents are committed to achieving the ultimate objectives of securing permanent housing and employment. We work with you in a loving and supportive environment so that you may become the person you want to be.
Languille Emergency Shelter
Provides emergency housing for women who are homeless. Each night up to 30 unaccompanied women receive shelter, communal meals, clothing and assistance with obtaining employment services, government benefits and housing placement.
To qualify for shelter at Languille, you must:
- Be an unaccompanied woman 18 years of age or older
- Be homeless (living on the street, your car or have lost your home)
- Be alcohol and drug free for the last 90 days

Hawkes Transitional Residence
Provides up to 30 homeless women with private furnished rooms. Women who live at Hawkes must earn an income, whether through employment or other sources and pay a modest rent based on a percentage of their income. Each woman has her own small refrigerator and locker and prepares her meals independently in the communal kitchen.
To qualify for shelter at Hawkes, you must:
- Be an unaccompanied woman 18 years of age or older
- Be homeless
- Be alcohol and drug free for the last 90 days
- Have a fixed income
- Have a current TB test (Taken in the last 6 months)
- Have a valid picture ID and Social Security Card
Only Case Managers may refer clients to Hawkes Transitional Residence.

Farley House Transitional Residence
Provides shelter in 21 one-bedroom apartments for homeless mothers and their children (up to two children) and unaccompanied women..
To qualify for shelter at Farley House, you must:
- Be a single mother or an unaccompanied woman 18 years of age or older
- Be homeless
- Be alcohol and drug free for the last 90 days
- Have a current TB test (Taken in the last 6 months)
- Have a valid picture ID and Social Security Card
- Have a regular income
Only Case Managers may refer clients to Farley House.
