Three pillars guiding our mission to end homelessness
We provide immediate, compassionate support to vulnerable women and children experiencing homelessness, offering shelter, meals, and essential services with dignity and respect.
We build for the future by breaking the cycle of poverty and homelessness, giving women the skills and resources to build independent, self-sufficient lives for themselves and their children.
We further the social and economic viability of our community, making it a better, more desirable place to live and work for all residents through stability and support.
Good Shepherd Center provides housing and supportive services for 93 women and over 50 children. We touch the lives of more than 1,500 women and children experiencing homelessness each year.
We serve a diverse population of homeless women and children in Los Angeles, representing a wide variety of races, religions, and backgrounds.
"The mission of Good Shepherd Center for Homeless Women and Children is to empower women and their children to move from homelessness to self-sufficiency, through housing, employment and support services offered with dignity and love."
The women who come through our doors all have their own story. Some are domestic violence survivors, have suffered job loss or divorce, have undergone health problems, or experienced unexpected life circumstances that led them to a life of homelessness. All of the women who call Good Shepherd Center home are dedicated to getting their lives back on track.
